The Holypass Company, which markets the new multi-site admission pass for tourists to Jerusalem’s Old City has signed an agreement with Pelephone. Pelephone recently launched a unique internet site that enables tourists to order a Pelephone cellular phone while still abroad, with the unit awaiting them at airport Welcome Stand upon arrival. As part of the launch, Pelephone is cooperating with several companies that target tourists to Israel.
As of today, tourists wishing to order a Holypass card – Jerusalem’s Old City multi-site admission pass – will receive a 50% discount in the daily rental charge of Pelephone cellular phones while in Israel. Tourists who hire a Pelephone receive free admission to one of 15 major sites in the Old City offered by Holypass or, alternatively, a 20% discount in purchasing the full Holypass.
Holypass is a multi-site pass with a smart-chip that reduces admission fees to 5 out of 15 major Old City sites by 25%, and provides numerous benefits and discounts at attractions, galleries, restaurants and cafés. The Holypass is sold at about 18 box offices at major Old City sites, Sea of Life shops around the country, restaurants, cafés and galleries in the Old City, and leading hotels in its vicinity for NIS 99 and NIS 50 for children. The pass was launched in December at the initiative of the Jerusalem Municipality’s Tourism Authority and with the support of the Jerusalem Development Authority, the Forum for Promoting Tourism in the Old City Basin, the Jerusalem Hotelieres Association and with the assistance of the Ministry for Tourism. The company is currently increasing the number of sales points in order to facilitate its distribution by potential visitors to Jerusalem.
